I was originally planning on diving on Thursday morning, just after landing from my red eye flight, but unfortunately the flight was canceled and I didn't get in until Thursday evening instead. That dive would have been to the Biscayne National Park which sounded amazing, but I moved that one to Saturday and kept the Friday morning trip. This morning, I joined Divers Paradise in Key Biscayne to dive the Biscayne Wreck, which was originally a ship for carrying bananas from Central America.

Shortly after descending, we saw a black and white Spotted Moray Eel in the reef. The coral was pretty cool with the standard tropical fish, including a Sergeant Major. There was a unique (to me) boxfish called a Smooth Trunkfish that had a really neat shape unlike the boxfish of Mexico. Swam inside the wreck and after coming out, another diver pointed towards the bow of the ship. There was a long fish hiding in the shadows but I slowly approached and it was a giant Barracuda!

The second dive was a shallow one on the Flamingo Reef which was relatively quiet, but also unique. The highlight was a Hogfish that had these beautiful spikes and was eating some food in the gravel. I followed him and saw him change colors to blend in with the scenery! The Stoplight Parrotfish was also really neat with a brick pattern on her side. I later read that this is the initial phase where they are female but they later change to male and a green color.

After returning to shore, I showered quickly and headed to Day 1 of the Ultra Music Festival.
