After spending some time exploring the casinos, we headed up to the speedway again for Saturday night, arriving around 21:30. We explored more of the other activities before getting down to the music. We spent more of the evening at Circuit Grounds, first seeing Oliver Heldens and then Slander, Martin Garrix, and deadmau5.
Even years later, deadmau5's set that night is permanently etched into my memories. Him playing "When the Summer Dies" and the visuals on the displays is a core summer memory for me and a song that I've played many times since. Everyone else that night was also amazing, but that one just really sticks with me.
I got to meet up with my friend Brennan, who had brought me to see
Armin van Buuren for the first time back in 2014 which caused me to fall in love with EDM.
We ended the evening with Ferry Corsten at Quantum Valley. I had listened to his countdown on the radio for years so it was so awesome to get to see him perform live.
