I got us reservations to go through The Emporium on a guided tour before the venue opened to everyone which was a really cool way to get to see it. Normally The Emporium is completely packed and you only get to see a small portion, but this way, we got to see the whole thing. Some of the rooms were still getting set up so we missed out on part of the experience, but overall it was definitely worth it. There was one room that had a giant pond set up with real water and they had life rafts that you could borrow to paddle through the pond. Another room was a dream sequence in the clouds where you climbed up a ladder into a room full of cotton...and then you slid down a slide into another room. And of course there was the human car wash from last year.
In the afternoon, we caught a set from Ludacris at the Ranch Arena. I don't really consider him an EDM artist and it was a bit of a weird vibe being at Forest, but it was interesting to experience.
Back later in the evening, one of the most epic sets was Vini Vici at The Observatory. We initially stayed near the back on the risers so it wasn't too crowded, and we had a great view. James went off to hang out with his friend Dan while Harris and I stayed on the risers. James had a really good time dancing and I was happy that he was getting to experience the music in the crowd and have fun.
After that, we went to the Ranch Arena for Pretty Lights, which my friend Jillian had been raving about. TBH, it was a bit of a buzzkill after Vini Vici since it was a very chill set. We vibed to the whole thing though for Jillian's sake and then ended the evening with Seven Lions.
