This was my fourth time at EDC Vegas and I had an incredible time. Drove down on Wednesday from San Jose and got checked into Treasure Island. Then went out to the Zouk Nightclub at Resorts World to see Alison Wonderland. She did a 2-hour set that did not disappoint although the Vegas nightclub scene is much different from that of EDC. The club was packed and the crowd wasn't super friendly. In typical Vegas fashion, everything was just about how much money you were spending. They had girls carrying signs to celebrate someone's birthday or other random events, and there were numerous tables roped off to get bottle service that was walked out with the girls carrying sparklers. The lighting in the club was fantastic though... they definitely spent a lot of money on that setup.
On Thursday, woke up, picked up the Rivian from the charger, picked up the RV trailer, and towed it to the Speedway. Got all checked in and walked around the Mesa for a bit. Once night fell, I ordered a Lyft to bring me back to the strip to see Dom Dolla and John Summit perform at the LIV nightclub inside the new Fontainebleau casino. As I was walking, a group yelled out to ask if anyone else was going to see John Summit and I wound up sharing the Lyft with a nice girl from New York. Arriving at LIV was just like the other Vegas nightclub where they had mass confusion with multiple lines, separated by gender and if you were on the guest list or VIP or GA. Once inside though, it was also very crowded and the bartenders were rude. I found my spot at the back of the crowd and didn't even want to get another drink because the bouncers wouldn't let you back on the floor. Was in a group of rude, drunk girls but I eventually moved away from them to find another spot before Dom Dolla and John Summit took to the decks. They put on an awesome show and it's always good to see both of them. John Summit surprisingly wasn't performing at EDC, despite being in town, and he's one of my new favorite DJ's, so I was glad I went.
Got back to camp around 5am and headed to bed.
